My name is Troy McGee, and my wife Leanne and I serve as missionaries with Okoa Refuge in Masaka, Uganda. This vision for Bible distribution began in 2024 when I became aware of a need for Bibles in the Masaka region. In response, we started raising funds to provide 300 Bibles—but God exceeded our expectations, and over 600 were provided. We praised God for His provision and assumed the work was complete. However, later in 2024, the need became even clearer: Bibles were needed for Bible schools, Discovery Bible Study groups, and church plants connected to Okoa Refuge. Meeting this need would require nearly 20,000 Bibles. When I heard that number, I felt overwhelmed and told God it was too big for me, then returned to my usual work. Shortly afterward, I heard a clear, non-verbal message in my mind: “Yes, this is too big for you—but not for Me.”

With new encouragement, Leanne and I began planning and preparing for this larger mission. As part of that effort, we created a website—www.Bibles4Africa.com—to support fundraising and outreach. Through this platform, God has opened significantly larger doors for partnerships with organizations around the world. As a result, we are now providing Bibles not only in Uganda, but across Africa and even beyond. We give thanks to God for all He is doing through this work.
